FFTG Awards 2021

Party is over, but the Disco ball is still turning. In the morning the Captain shoots him with a bow, and accidentally falls into the dream of an Indian, a lighthouse keeper, who demonstrates to him three women from the past - from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Every woman welcomes a state of fragile idyll, when the world comes to life and the sun turns its gaze on them.

Aquatoria

The film is based on the director's experience of panic attacks. With support from Wellcome Collection, she builds a connection between panic attacks and ornithophobia to make the bird acts as a trigger of fear. Through materializing feelings of a panic attack, the director aims to discuss the core issues of fear, life, and death with multiple experimental artistic practices.

Bird

In a bizarre and whimsical forest, a blue, blocky creature spots a tree of tasty fruits on the other side of a deep, dark river. After a failed attempt at crossing over, a springy stranger who lives in a tree decides to lend a helping hand.

The Bridge

Pascal has the dream of turning an abandoned house into a cultural center. In secret, Manuel, her boyfriend, begins to use the house for other purposes.

The Crab Basket

Fashion video with social background. The idea of this video appeared against the backdrop of a huge scandal caused by the phrase of the host Regina Todorenko about a specific case of domestic violence: what did you do so that your husband would not beat you? This caused a storm of indignation in me. The image on the poster reflects the essence of my vision of this situation: a woman as an object of violence has turned into an accused. I developed this idea and put it in a fashion setting. The video shows how any self-expression of a woman is faced with condemnation and shaming. And even when a girl strips naked, condemning words are still found. She is judged for the courage to look the way she wants, for the courage to be herself. My attitude to this is reflected in the girl's reaction: rejection of this state of affairs. Because being yourself is not the privilege of the elite. This right is given to everyone from the moment of birth. Freedom in one's beliefs, love, choice makes a person complete. Be free inside and out. Take care yourself.

Guilty

This song title is taken from a poem by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay that became the cry for the Indian Freedom struggle and later the National song of India. This rendition of Vande Mataram was composed, written and filmed in the peak of the Covid 19 Lockdown in India. The song and music video sought to inculcate and propogate the Spirit of Creation, Collaboration, Contribution and Celebration in India on its Independance day, to provide another clarion call to people, to rise and embrace these principles that were instrumental in the creation of this video as the way forward to rise from the aftermath Covid 19. For the first time ever 100 Prominent and world renowned Indian Music creators who were competitors came together in One song to collborate, create and perform this song and music video. This song was made on a Zero Budget where no money was paid or accepted by any contributor, vendor or technician. This song exemplifies the immense Power of Collaboration and Contribution in Creation.

I bow to thee O Mother

A junior high school girl who stays at the academy until the latest every night to study. When everyone goes home, they take off their clothes and start dancing. The only hobby is to take pictures of yourself and appreciate yourself. She dances that day too, but something weird keeps happening. The situation is completely twisted.
She meets three people that night.
Who, why, her torment her?

About desires, anxieties, love and hatred that I couldn't explain in words when I was a kid.
The mess of anxiety creates false rumors and ultimately destroys the child. Searching for a meaningless criminal reveals the hidden truth.

Ju-bin

In “This Is An Invitation” I examine the possibilities for women in today's society to shape their lives freely. Using a performative videocollage, I would like to show the contradicting demands that women and their bodies are confronted with nowadays, especially through popular cultural media. Following the “cultural hacking” I make use of popular statements on the topic, but undermine them by connecting them to one another in a new way.

This Is An Invitation

'Until Next Bite' is a nostalgic reminiscence of an Indian student studying abroad who misses her mother's home cooked food. She tries to recreate that missing flavour by cooking on her own for the first time.

Until Next Bite

Animated Short film about covid-19.
