MIDNIGHT STORIES: Morgan

Perspective Shift is a documentary series which explores the triumphs and trials of some of Australia’s top practitioners in the arts industries, who also happen to be people with disability. Each 30-minute episode focuses on one individual excelling in an area of the Arts and explores their craft and their lived-experience. Episode #2 - Prue Stevenson, is about one of Australia’s top emerging visual and performance artists, having exhibited work nationally and notably at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) Australia, in Sydney. Prue’s art practice was birthed from her identity as an autistic woman and is an integral way that she connects with the world around her. Many of her art pieces invite audiences into her autistic culture, sharing and celebrating her unique “Prue version of Autism”. We too are invited into Prue’s story, travelling on her journey to becoming a leading artist in Australia.

"Perspective Shift" - Episode #2 - Prue Stevenson

A thief who downloads memories and information to sell to the highest bidder is cornered by a mysterious woman who wants information of her own; but the woman is not all that she appears.

Remembrance

Set against the blistering heat of Australia's 2019 bushfire-ravaged summer, a couple meet to decide: does love overcome our failures, or does it make failing those we love inexcusable?

Springtime Turns To Summer

In March 2014, Australian filmmaker Joshua Belinfante was told he might only have a short time left to live. Forced to confront his own mortality, he thought about what he would do with his life if he was somehow given a second chance. He realised that he wanted to travel the world and find people that were fulfilling what their inner child always dreamt of doing. At the time of his diagnosis, Joshua was studying to become a solicitor and had put off his dreams to become a filmmaker. ‘The World’s Best Film’ is an anthology documentary about 13 individuals striving to be the world’s best at their passions.
