DEBUT FILM - Official Selections 2025
A collection of first-time filmmakers stepping into the world with stories that demanded to be told.

These films carry the spark of a beginning — where creativity, instinct, and experimentation collide.

Whether five minutes or forty, a film is as long as it needs to be.
What matters is the voice, the vision, and the courage to begin.

Created by creatives. Crafted by destiny. Rooted in instinct.
Michael Michael

Michael

MICHAEL is a psychological short film that takes us into a journey of storytelling itself. Revealing how a writer’s world, both external and internal, can shape, distort and redefine the stories they tell.
In a world filled with noise, conflict, contradiction and confusion, a disillusioned author, on his friends advise, escapes from the chaotic city life to a village in search of tranquility, clarity and inspiration. But instead of peace, he encounters a strange, unsettling tale, one that blurs the lines between memory, imagination and reality.
Through Ravba, the mysterious caretaker of the house, the writer learns of his tragic love story while working in circus- Ravba’s forbidden affair with Jenni, the wife of a circus owner named Michael. When their secret is exposed, a chain of violence and revenge unfolds.
As the lines between Ravba’s memories and the writer’s imagination blur, the story takes on a life of its own. Is it a story that has happened with Ravba or a creative invention or something in between? MICHAEL invites the audience to decide if this is what he discovers real or just a figment of his imagination or somewhere in between

The Monkey The Monkey

The Monkey

History repeats itself, yet people fail to heed its lessons every time. Adam, a doctor of science, was living his life normally until a sudden event occurred in the world, causing him to suffer alone with his friend, the monkey.

More about the film:
“The Monkey” follows Adam, a scientist whose life is upended by a global crisis. Isolated and grappling with his fears, he finds solace in an unlikely companion—a monkey. The film explores themes of anxiety and existential dread during the COVID-19 pandemic, reflecting on humanity's struggle to adapt.

The core idea of the film is that it exists outside of time, place, timing, and any specific country, in order to better convey the fundamental concept that this event occurs on the planet periodically, because humans do not learn from their mistakes or from the past. In every time period, they create a virus that nearly destroys the world, and they always end up harming themselves, yet they do not learn from the mistakes of the past because no one studies history properly.

So a new virus called "Disease X" came to the world again and made the scientist suffer, trying to find the serum for this virus along with his friend, the monkey. He is also trying to find anyone else alive, as he does not want to live alone again in this world.
