More about the film:
“The Monkey” follows Adam, a scientist whose life is upended by a global crisis. Isolated and grappling with his fears, he finds solace in an unlikely companion—a monkey. The film explores themes of anxiety and existential dread during the COVID-19 pandemic, reflecting on humanity's struggle to adapt.
The core idea of the film is that it exists outside of time, place, timing, and any specific country, in order to better convey the fundamental concept that this event occurs on the planet periodically, because humans do not learn from their mistakes or from the past. In every time period, they create a virus that nearly destroys the world, and they always end up harming themselves, yet they do not learn from the mistakes of the past because no one studies history properly.
So a new virus called "Disease X" came to the world again and made the scientist suffer, trying to find the serum for this virus along with his friend, the monkey. He is also trying to find anyone else alive, as he does not want to live alone again in this world.
