M.O.W.

"M.O.W." is a documentary that follows the daily life of a Meals on Wheels volunteer, showcasing the organization's vital work in delivering nutritious meals and social interaction to homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities.

The film highlights the challenges faced by Meals on Wheels due to funding cuts and increased demand, putting its services at risk.

Through the lens of a single volunteer's day, the documentary sheds light on the importance of this organization and the potential consequences of losing its funding.

Written, featured, and directed by Tim Carr (also seen in The Grounders, All My Children, Rocky Balboa), "M.O.W." is a story of connection, care, and the volunteers who make it happen, and aim to raise awareness about the struggles of Meals on Wheels and the seniors who rely on its services.

What Will People Say?

In Ahmedabad, India - a city scarred by the 2002 riots - Gulnaz breaks barriers as a community radio jockey.
Gulnaz is the first female breadwinner in her family and the first woman in her area to work outside the home. Despite having no formal education in media, she became a voice for many. Through her show Shahernama, she challenges patriarchy, amplifies the voices of the marginalized and fosters interfaith understanding in an increasingly divided society.

Amidst her fight for social change, Gulnaz also grapples with her own struggle for freedom and autonomy. This is the story of a young Muslim woman daring to dream differently in a patriarchal society determined to silence her.
